Adam Lawrence's corporate career was in Wealth Management for boutique investment firms in Switzerland and also included a role as a cross-business consultant for one of the UK’s top 10 lenders. He also ran a betting syndicate for 5 years between 2006 and 2010.
Adam’s property career started in earnest in 2011 and since then he has been involved in over 550 UK properties, from flats purchased for £23k to portfolios of 91 properties at a time, and everything in between. The goal has been to buy at good value, add value, and then refinance and hold on - there has been some development, and sale, along the way but 90% has been to retain.
Interesting fact - he once defeated “Egghead” C.J. De Mooi in the tv quiz show “Revenge of the Egghead” (season 1 episode 29 if anyone wants to find it!).

John Penquet is an experienced insights and research expert, having provided many years of technical insights to the property industry through several businesses.  John learned his trade in the retail industry in the early 2000s, working in procurement and then in data and insights for the food and drink sector.  He led vision and brand strategy tactics using insights for multinational brands and worked all over the world to bring insights to bear with great success.

In the past decade, John has immersed himself in the creation of insights and research in property, establishing multiple businesses and taking directorships in a variety of businesses connected with the property and housing sectors.

Alongside his research work, John owns and operates a portfolio across the UK through multiple investments and businesses.  This portfolio includes houses, flats, commercial and mixed use premises, retail premises and land.

John has been instrumental in guiding industry insights and research, forecasting consistently and challenging the opinions and sentiments when data contradicts the status quo.  He is keen to progress discussions around fact and is also the author of the influential book, Property Truth Or Dare.

John’s reputation is one of balance and impartiality with an attitude summed up by his mantra, what the data shows is where efforts should flow.

John lives in Wales with his wife Kate and three children, Amber, Ben and Joe.  He spends his spare time actively in his local community with support and fundraising a key hobby, along with a passion for classic cars and sailing.
